Congratulations to Iarla Ó Lionáird on winning the “Traditional Singer of the Year”
Iarla Ó Lionáird grew up in a family of twelve children in Cúil Aodha, Co Cork. He did his first radio broadcast when he was seven years old and his first studio recording when he was 12. He began his international singing career in 1983 with a performance in Shaun Davey's Pilgrim Suite. In 1997 he released the first of three solo albums on Peter Gabriel's Real World label. At the same time, Iarla toured and recorded with the The Afro-Celt Sound System. He continues to work in his home studio on solo projects and collaborate

Harry Bradshaw
Congratulations to Harry Bradshaw on winning the “Muscians Award”
Harry has been involved in the recording, production and more recently the re-mastering of traditional Irish music for over 40 years. He started his career in the music business as a recording engineer with Eamonn Andrews Studios in Dublin before joining Raidió Éireann in 1968. He has re-mastered recordings by many of the great Irish artists who recorded in America and Ireland during the 1920s and 1930s.Most recently he has worked on the joint RTÉ / Irish Traditional Music Archive project to transfer and catalogue RTÉ's vast radio archive. He is constantly in demand as a sound engineer, producer, lecturer, and as an acknowledged expert on re-mastering and restoration.
